So, yesterday me and my children volunteered with my church (Christian Faith Fellowship) at Harvest Hope Food Bank. We had a great time helping to pack and prepare boxes for distribution. But I was not expecting the exercise that I was in for. The lifting, bending, stooping, stretching, continuously was a reminder of how out of shape I was. Which is why I'm glad to be back on my weight-loss journey, so next time, it won't be as rough on my muscles.
So when I got home, I knew that I needed to soak. I had my epsom salt ready and a couple of bath bombs ready to go in my bath. I had my T&H Wholesalers Lime-Basil Mandarin candle ready on the side of the tub, and decided to take it up another notch. I just remembered that I had a facial mask to try. You should've seen me searching through my tub of samples trying to find it! Once I found it, I knew my date with relaxation and rejuvenation was about to begin. So, I turned my music on and began running the water as I was applying the facial mask. This mask smelled wonderful! It was like a loaf of fresh, out-of-the-oven lemon bread. It wasn't what I expected out of a clay mask.
This wasn't the type of mask that dries into cement after 3 minutes of it being on your face. This mask was a great exfoliator and was the perfect addition to my relaxing and rejuvenating bath. I can't tell you how long I left it on because as I began to soak, I let go of everything that was on my mind. Everything that bothered me, all of the aches in my body, all of the tasks that I still had to do....it was lost, drowned out by the soothing music, the relaxing aroma, and the nourishing and rejuvenating facial mask and bath soak.
Once I realized that it was time to rinse the mask off, my face felt so renewed. There was no stinging, no irritation, and no mess to clean up. After a week of being tortured by the 5 o'clock Sun, stresses of life, and lack of self-care, it felt like I had a brand new start for my skin. In comparison to my homemade lemon honey mask, this is one that I would use from time to time for the weeks that I want to change up my routine a little. So, thank you L'oreal for letting me try this mask. I am a true fan of it.
